Day 35 - Too Long, huh?

Life sure is busy right now.

As I said a while back, I got a job. I haven't been doing much other than that. I go to work. I get back from work and then I'm exhausted.

Since I'm a cashier, you have to know produce. The codes are quite challenging but I'm learning them pretty well. My co-workers are very nice and they have faith that I'll be good after two weeks. :/ So much faith in me and I'm like...I don't know about that.

There is soo much to learn and know. And bagging myself is just challenging but God is with me through it all. Everyday, I'm calling on Him for help. He comes through in soo many ways.

Today, there are a few examples of how He came through for me. I was working the register and getting change for a guy. I think it 17.88 was this man's change but he wanted to give me more money to make it even. It all went soo fast for me him handing it to me and I'm not able to quickly count "what the heck did he just give me" is in my mind. But thank you Lord!! This girl, on another register behind me just so happened to be paying attention. Knew exactly what he was wanting and told me what to do. God is great!!

Another example of how God was with me today was my roll was low on paper. But I didn't know how to change it out cause I forgot and there was another customer. So, I was praying to Him that it would be enough paper to ring her up. And there was enough paper on the receipt roll. I was then able to ask a guy cashier how to help me change it and it all went well.

God never leaves my side. He is just soo awesome!!

Day 24 - EXCITING NEWS

Monday

I had to go to the job I'm applying for and fill out background check info and take a drug test. I was nervous for no reason. I'm just glad it went well in the end.

Later in the day,
My mom got a call from my brother informing her that he got the job!! We were quite happy for him.

Today

About to go to Walmart but my mom and I were hungry so we got some pasta. As I was eating pasta my phone rang... I went over, I still had food in my mouth when I saw the number was from the job I wanted to work at. THEY WERE CALLING ME BACK!!! AHAHAHA I quickly chewed, swallowed and answered the phone. It was the manager.

I GOT HIRED! OH MY GOSH. It's soo unreal. (I'm going to faint. Not really, cause I never do that.)

Anyways, I have to fill out more paperwork. And tell them when I'm available. I'm nervous yet again. I hope that I can learn everything I need to. I'm going to be a cashier, if you didn't know, at a grocery store.

Well, that's about it. Nervous. God's gonna be with me and it will all work out, though.

Day 19 - Happy Fourth!

Yesterday - Fourth of July

First off, I didn't really see any fireworks... Not happy about it. Don't really want to elaborate either.

I did however have fun at my church event. I accomplished some goals for the day:

• Eat at Masala Wok for lunch.
        - It was sooo good you have no idea. 

• Take pictures of random people and the event
        - I took about a hundred so pictures. 

• Go to bed late...
        - That wasn't really a goal but I did kinda go to bed late since the             church party ended at 10pm

I will hopefully be posting another sorta Fourth of July art piece today but I don't know. I do know however that I will be posting some of the pictures from the event on DA.

Day 14 - Adventure

My Story for the Day

Adventure - An unusual and exciting, typically hazardous, experience or activity (mine wasn't too hazardous)


My mom wanted me to get out today. I usually stay at home even when I have the car. So, today she wanted me to go somewhere and do something. That's what I did.


First, I went to JCPenney cause I received a gift card from someone. It was kinda of frightening for me cause I don't really like to drive. There was this big truck next to me and then there was an instance where this car got into a turning lane but it turned too soon so then it got right back in my way!! 


While I was there I saw a good friend that had graduated before me. Her name is Jessica just like mine. When she called out my name I instantly recognized her voice. In the back of my mind I was slightly wondering how she was doing. She worked at the store. Told me that the blue tags were marked down. I'm so glad she did. I got 3 shirts for half the original price. :D I also got some pants.


After checking out, I went to see if they had an Auntie Anne's... they didn't. I was disappointed and even more heartbroken when I bought a cinnamon sugar pretzel from a Mr. Pretzel. I thought surely they will still taste pretty good. Nope. It tasted very bread-y. I ended up not being able to eat it all and just liked the cinnamon off of it. Cinnamon is sooo good people. lol


I then left the mall cause there was barely anybody there and I didn't want to browse (cause I really didn't want to be there in the first place). I decided I was going home and only 11 am. I started like at 10. (lame right.) But my adventure doesn't end there. I was exiting and then decided I wanted to go to Barnes & Noble but I was in the wrong lane so I had to keep straight into this food section. It had about 2 or 3 restaurants in it but no way to get to the other stores that were near by including the book store I wanted to go to. I ended up turning around and going out the same way I came in. This took a few mins to figure out. :/


I reached the book store. Went in and was greeted by this lady selling nook tablets. It was funny. I had stopped in the entrance and was looking at this dog book. She probably thought I was older because when I finally opened the second door into the place she smiled but you could totally see the realization that I was not going to be a customer. It was hilarious. If only I could explain it better. Oh well...


I roamed around. Noticed the free Wi-fi on the door and started checking my instagram feed. I couldn't check very long cause all of a sudden it stopped refreshing. Great I thought. I roamed around a bit more jumping from programming to recipes to the Christian section. 


Browsing through the books was quite fun. I thought about buying several things but realized I could get a better deal on amazon or half price books. *sighs* I left there and called my mom to ask her where I should go... anywhere that's new. I saw petsmart and went over there. They had cats!!! (I'm currently wanting one...but can't afford a precious thing).


There were toys all over the place and I wondered if I should get her anything. Everything was expensive and I didn't have a membership there. Scratch that. I left the store empty handed. 


The last place I visited was Mardel's. Right as I walked in I realized how deserted it was. O.o I could here my shoes making noises when I came in. I went straight to the CD section. After I listened to some demo CDs I soon found  a CD by Lindsay McCaul. Love it!! :D


That was pretty much it. There was more that happened later. Just to name a few things, got my dog wet and she brought mud/dirt inside, messed up my mom's computer(soon got that resolved thankfully, I nearly cried...), and went out to the store at close to midnight to buy some ice cream.

Day 9 - A Looong Weekend

Saturday 

Stayed up late. Like till 2 or 3am even though I knew I had to get up pretty early. Had to get up at 8am but I had my alarm set for 7 and 7:30am.

Went to this bible study thing that was far away. When my mom and I finally got there. It was kinda nerve racking. I had a headache before we arrived. I felt annoyed and agitated. Then as the bible study thing started. This lady Dr. J was talking about 9 gifts we can be given. I was trying to stay awake. It was soo hard. My head was still hurting like crazy. It lasted from 10:30am - 1:30pm.

They had lunch but there wasn't anything my picky self could really eat. I was stuck with watermelon (and I don't even like that stuff), chocolate cake (which was kinda funny tasting), and a cowboy cookie (I love cookies but this one was just weird...nuts and maybe peanut butter idk but I don't ever want a cowboy cookie again)

Overall, I did learn somethings but I just made the really awful mistake of staying up late.

Sunday

HA, I stayed up late again but not as late only till around 12:30 then I went to bed. Was going to go to church but super tired so my mom and I just watched it online. Steve Alessi spoke at our church and had a really good message.

After church ended around 10:30am. I went and laid down for a while. After that we went walking at 12 (stupid but I really needed to get out of the house). Ate some leftover pizza then my mom wanted to go to two Half Priced Bookstores. We stayed in this big one for hours and I soon got tired of being there. I kept hinting to my mom that I was ready to go and we finally left.

Then we planned on going to Red Lobsters. I haven't eaten there in forever!! Anyways, my food was good, but my mom didn't like her food very much. I had Have it your way. Which I had scampi shrimp, crispy shrimp, and baked potato.

Hmmm this blog post didn't really happen the I wanted to... I guess just kinda rushing through what happened. XD

Day 7 - Getting Things Organized

What I've Been Up To

• Going to a conference at my church

I went to the mall today with my best friend and then another friend and it was the first time we had all hung out together. The time was kinda awkward at first but then we were all able to laugh, catch up, and remember the first time we met in English 1.

There is another day of worship for the conference at my church but I'm not sure I'm going... I want to but I'm tired and my mom isn't going most likely so I might just watch it online. (I know that's not the same feeling as being there.)

Well, you might have noticed that I haven't written anything for a couple of days. HA Though, I've thought about my blog everyday. That's slightly the problem. I will think about what I'm going to write but then since I've thought it up so nicely in my mind I become lazy and don't want to type it up and get sidetracked on DA for a bit. Never coming back to writing on here.

I may start doing this every once in a while. Where I post a YouTube video that I am listening to all day. I love YouTube, just not the Ads they love having on every video now. :/

Day 2 - Father's Day!!

Happy Father's Day to everyone!

Taking my dad out to eat some lunch. That should hopefully be fun. Went to church this morning. Had a good message from the senior pastor. Not too much to talk about today since it's not yet over.
